The Hi, Human Intelligence Project is here to help elevate and amplify human creators and our creativity.
Here's the elevator pitch: It's a badge free for human creators to add to their social media posts of all kinds that helps everyone know at a glance that this is a human made creation, not made by AI. (Examples at the bottom of this post.)
If you don't want to read on, I get that, ADHD gal here, so here's the link for the quick web pack. It's free, you don't even need to credit me, just grab it and use it and spread the word: https://tinyurl.com/4v9fx3s9
Oh hey, you can follow me on Instagram too: https://www.instagram.com/hi.human.intel
Why Do We Need It?
It’s getting harder for many people to discern what is AI content and what's made by human creators. AI is everywhere and while our relationships with it may be complicated and nuanced, human creators of all forms of art, music, photography, video, writing, and more need a way to set our work apart from AI content. Many of us want to seek out human creators, but in a sea of AI, discernment becomes more difficult and not all platforms have policies regarding AI labeling. While AI can turn out content quickly to fill the internet’s feeds and shopping carts, human creations take time, skills built over a lifetime, and heart.
We humans want to create, we need to create, and creativity is part of human connection, emotional expression, and communication, it’s part of what makes us so very human. The process of learning a skill, experimentation, inspiration, and creating any kind of art is more important to the happiness and wellbeing of humans than ever, it’s not a product, it’s the process of making something of deeper human value.
That’s why I created the Hi, Human Intelligence badge and am making it free and accessible for all human creators to use on their creations.
All humans are invited to add this “Hi, Human Intelligence” badge to forms of expression created by humans adds value and showcases human creativity. Even if you don't consider yourself creative, if you're making a post, even if it's just you talking to camera or sharing a photo of a sunset or your cat, that counts as long as it's not AI. This badge can help people who want to support human creativity but are having a hard time picking them out in a sea of AI content. This friendly, warm badge can let viewers and listeners know at a glance that you have created something for them with your own hands, mind, heart, and spirit, and you want to share it with them.
If you're a publisher (traditional or self publishing) and you want to use this badge in print for human made creations, books, music, etc. I'll share it with you for free too. (I am currently an unemployed graphic designer, so I wouldn't mind a donation, but it's not necessary) Shoot me a message I can share the vector versions for your printer.
The Inspiration Behind the Design
While working on the design for this badge, I realized the abbreviation for human intelligence is Hi, as in, “Hi, I’m human, I made this!”

The idea of an upraised or waving hand was also inspired by the first human signatures, handprints on cave walls that were made with red ochre paint. That's why I picked a shade of red ochre for the color of the badge, incidentally, it’s also the color of the human heart, the heart we put into everything we create!
How to Use It
You can put it on the first pic of a carousel post, just repeat the first pic on the second one without the badge. You can flash it for one or two seconds at the beginning of a short form video on Instagram, Tiktok, or YouTube. Use it on Pinterest posts. I would love to see them on YouTube thumbnails, I'd click a lot less AI videos by accident and it can help human creators stand out! Add it to your podcast cover, tell everyone your music is human created on Bandcamp or CD Baby. Add it to your shop banner or listings. Just a few ideas.
Here's a couple ideas about how it could be used, but I bet you'll come up with more.

Ok human, keep creating and being awesome.
Much Love,
